Roulette Strategy

There are many people that say they have developed a winning Roulette strategy. Much like Roulette Systems, there are no Roulette Strategies that work. Unlike Blackjack there is no standard basic strategy that you can employ across all roulette game to lower the house edge. That being said there are a few things that you can do to sometimes to lower the house edge.

The first thing that you can do to limit your exposure is to play only the European Roulette tables. These tables which use the original Roulette wheel only have one zero on the wheel and there for have a house edge around 2.7%. If you must play on a American Roulette table check to see if they allow 'Surrender'. Surrender will allow you to lose only half your wager on the outside bets if the ball lands on zero or doublezero. This option will lower the house edge to about 2.63%. These are still not great odds but being down from 5.26%. The worst wager you can make would be the five number bet as it has a house edge that is approaching 7.3%.
